       This page will be divided to simpify browsing into the following sites, each of which will be further divided as time passes.  When Jim took the position at BYU of Curator of the Geology Deparmtment, he reported to Lehi Hintze, and was give space for a lab on the first floor of the Eyring Science Building. He remained in that space for years until he was able to persuade the administration to build a space dedicated to the preparation of dinosaurs, named the Earth Sciences Museum.  His time was divided between administrative work on campus which he hated, collection work in the field in quarries mostly sited in Utah which was his favorite activity, and preparation work in the lab which was almost as favorded.  This part of the website is organized as follows:
