1945 Fish Casting & Models -  Honolulu

Mountain climbing & rescues -  In Seward Alaska, he was the only man with the equipment and experience to rock climb.  On two occassions, he was called on by the community to go onto mountains where hunters had slipped and fallen to their death.  He said the one thing he learned about the experience of recovery was, “The first thing to do is to cover the head.” After he had moved the bodies to locations where others could take over, he dropped back and let the rescue teams complete the job. He was sick from the effort and experierience for a week each time.
