Following is a list of some of the slide shows that are sprinkled throughout this web site. All of the photos were taken by dad. His interest bloomed early. As a high school student he was president of the photography club. That sounds trivial, but it isn’t. His early interest resulted in a well-documented life, a more comprehensive record than most such records which is nice for this website.
After he died there were a jillion photos, movies, tapes, and slides. This is a photo of some of his slides. Sorting his photos and movies and slides was a nightmare because he copied and re-copied many of them, and had no filing system. Tucked into used envelopes, piled into corners. They were everywhere.
It’s taken a huge amount of time to create order out of this mess - he knew what he was doing, however. I find rare hand-written notes like, “Good Luck!”. Some of those notes even started, “Ron (my middle name which my parents used)”. BYU now has all of the paleontology slides so if you want copies to use in a publication, contact RODNEY SCHEETZm PHD at 801-422-3939. I digitized the slides first, so I have a complete set many of which are used here in “GALLERIES”. Some of the sldes are so old that the color emulsion had deteriorated. I sort of like that - it gives an authenticity to them, shows their age. Anyway, here’s the list.
HOW TO USE: THe gallery has three buttons, LEFT, UP, RIGHT. Click to go LEFT, or RIGHT. Click the UP to return to the page that talks about that quarry or set of slides.
