Calico Gulch

There were a few slides in Dinosaur Jim’s estate for this locale which are put into “slide shows” below. The location resembles Dry Mesa to the extent that I even imagine that several of these images just may be misplaced Dry Mesa shots. The slides were badly aged so are very dark. The first gallery shows the construction of a road by what looks like a D-6 Cat. The road was obviously many miles long. It shows just how rugged the trails are that dinosaur hunters have to create to get to the bones - after endless paperwork with the BLM and any other government agency who wants to put their oar in.

Calico Gulch Quarry

The next gallery shows the quarry itself. Sorry the slides are so dark.
